MID OHIO 2011 07/24/2011

My god, it was a HOT day. But, met with some great people! I finally managed to meet PAUL CROWE of THE KNEESLIDER! And, as is my tendency, was so excited  that I completely forgot to take a picture of him. I'm going to have to take a "calm-the-heck-down" pill soon. It was GREAT to see you Paul! Here's some pics from later in the day, when I finally remembered that I did have my camera.

Chumma, Tom, Aniket, Fireball 1, Musket. Brothers in arms!

My friend Al on left, who's planning to build a vintage sidecar Musket,  Tom and Chumma. This gorgeous machine is the very first Fireball built with the combined efforts of Tom and Chumma. It is FAST! I'm lusting after something just like this. Understated, purposeful, timeless. And an exhaust note to die for.

Justin (whose immaculate Tiger 750 can be seen in the background) and the three of us. Justin is also a Fireball rider.

The BADGER! Mouthwatering machine.

I had a delightful chat with this interesting gentleman on a fantastic MotoGuzzi Falcone. Just have to love that external flywheel!

I talked to you at the VJMC gathering at Iron Pony. Had hoped to see you at VMD. I was there all weekend but alas our paths did not cross. I would have expected the Musket to be in the bike show.

Hi Aniket

Nice to see you enjoying yourself in the heat of Mid Ohio, in stark contrast to you freezing solid it seems not too long ago.

Sometimes one needs to be inspired by others achievements to spur one on so I hope you are now firing on all cylinders so to speak.

keep up the excellent work Sunil

Hello Aniket, I feel really good seeing your Musket. It's the kind of thing I have always wanted to create. While I was thinking about it, you have actually done it. I am an Enfield guy my self. For now I am just sticking to rebuilding old enfields. Any way I am extreamly happy to see your Musket getting all the attention that it deserves. Good luck on your 1000cc project.

That is one fine motorcycle you have there! I saw it in the pits at Mid-Ohio but it was so bloody hot I didn't make the effort to find out the story behind the bike. The workmanship was so good that I thought perhaps this was a factory effort! After doing some web research when I returned I read your story and just wanted to give some congrats. Keep up the good work, lots of interest in your bike.

Aniket
I've been keeping an eye on your project ever since I have found out about royal enfield. It would be great to find out some updates because I'm waiting on your project to be completed before I decide whether I should buy an iron bore or the new uce bike. If you can please post something new.
